Reusable contracts provide the building blocks; composition determines how their requirements apply together.
01Composition
Build on reusable contracts.
For example, combine requirements for a model record with a review contract and a spending limit. A contract can require a particular step or leave the approach open.
02Execution and evaluation
Check the result against evidence.
Execute
The executor performs the work required by the contract and returns a result, including evidence.
Evaluate
The evaluator assesses whether the contract’s requirements are satisfied. Execution and evaluation repeat as needed.
Evaluation requires evidence, and action requires authority and a suitable execution environment. Writing a monitoring requirement does not itself start monitoring.
